Oh, what a perfect life I lead to so many on the outside,

If they only knew how looks deceive, and that my life is a tumultuous roller-coaster ride.

I smile and laugh through the pain and tears,

Because no one would want to listen to a complainer for seven, no wait, eight years…

Everyone says, “You’re so strong”; “You’re such a fighter”’; “An inspiration because you never stop trying”.

Well last year I almost did…I was lost, all alone and only thought of dying…

But I persevered, as I always do, because I have “LITTLE” angels who love and protect me,

And I know deep in my heart and soul that there is a greater purpose here on earth for me to be.

One day I will be at total peace and harmony with my life,

Still I know nothing is perfect and there will always be some conflict and some strife.

But with love, faith, trust and hope I will no longer be as blue,

Because I do believe all my goals and dreams will eventually come true.

I know I can handle any challenge, tribulation or trial,

I am a survivor and I will conquer anything with a smile.

I will not give up, I will continue to fight for what I want and for what I desire,

With my drive, passion and my purpose fuelled by an internal fire.

I will never settle for less than I deserve, and I will always give my best,

And until I achieve each and every goal, I shall not rest.
