For Spring Break in ’99, eight sexy girls decided to go,
All the way down to Mazatlan, Mexico.
They wanted to dance, party, and sing,
Most of them single, but one wore a ring.
They lay on the beach from dawn till well past happy hour,
Then they would shop, siesta, and shower.
The nights were filled with good food, and fun,
And it was soon discovered that between 10 and 6am much could be done.
Some nights were longer, and some of the girls did roam,
But not to worry, they all eventually made it home.
They partied lots with some boys from school,
Who were young, blond, and definitely cool.
And even though one guy danced like a dork,
They still met guys from Richmond, Edmonton, and Brooklyn, New York.
There were fruit smoothies and quesadillas with beans for breakfast and lunch,
Oh what a week of tummy aches for this bunch.
Some of the group experienced a true Mexican Cultural sight,
Never forgetting the haunting, sad reality occurring at the end of a Bullfight.
They rode on their buses, and Palmaneros,
Almost getting killed for a mere thirty pesos.
But despite the Mexicans driving, and too many Vodka margaritas,
They still had a blast, and were called “Beautiful Senoritas”.
So now they are back home, and feeling kind of sad,
But don’t worry girls you will always have Mexico memories, and your UBC Grad!
